Had to flash router with ASUS Firmware in order to get rid of the T-Mobile garbage. A little more complicated than a simple flash of new firmware, as partition table must be modified as a final step before flashing latest firmware. I now have an ASUS RT-AC68U with latest firmware and up and running as AiMesh node.
